Automotive wires and cables are consequently in greater demand than ever, which is why our product portfolio has been regularly expanding. The use of state-of-the-art insulation and sheathing materials such as thermoplastics or silicone rubber has been particularly helpful in successfully enlarging our range. This new generation of vehicle wiring is highly suitable for use in all-electric and hybrid-powered vehicles, but also for those powered by fuel cells.

Our high-voltage and charging cables for passenger cars

Pioneer in electric mobility – applications for automotive wires and cables

Electric mobility and automotive wires and cables – watch our video to learn more about all the critical places where our wires and cables are found in electric vehicles. Our charging cables impress with their very good resistance to chemicals or the weather and their toughness if accidentally driven over. They can be spiralised according to each customer’s individual requirements and are freely available in many different colours. Sheath damage, should it occur, is easily recognizable and the faulty cable can be replaced without delay.

Single-core and multicore high-voltage cables

Coroplast’s single-core and multicore high-voltage cables are often installed in the powertrains of electric cars. They retain their excellent sealing properties during both the acceleration and the recuperation phase – even after long-term use or in the event of extreme temperature variations. The choice of high-quality insulation materials to manufacture these cables is a great advantage because we save on copper, amongst other things. Thanks to tests and simulations in our own laboratory, we can also reduce the weight and the installation space. The result: safe and efficient wires and cables for automotive and electric mobility applications.”
