Coroflex®- our answer to industry 4.0 SPS IPC Drives 2018 from 27. to 29.11.2018 in Nuremberg

Industry 4.0 is the clearly defined main topic of this year's SPS IPC Drives in Nuremberg. Although the much-used term is interpreted differently, the most common interpretation is the networking of all machines, test and transport systems involved in production. For our customers, this means that all machine components communicate with each other and that a large number of sensors monitor the operating status and report in real time. We will be presenting the solution for signal and data transmission at our booth 2-430: our Coroflex® sensor and control cables make networked production possible.

The Coroflex® success story continues

Cables for industrial communication systems are an important backbone of automation technology. Coroplast has developed a new, innovative generation of sensor and control cables for this purpose, which are continuously being further developed together with our customers to meet their industry-specific requirements. The performance and innovative strength of the application-oriented Coroflex® product family culminated in winning the German Innovation Award 2018 in gold.

Enables a continuous expansion of the production of Coroflex® sensor and control cables: the new Coroplast plant in Strzelce Opolskie.

„In the future, everything will be controlled via intelligent networks. Cables are needed for all this. Without cables there is no connection. Nothing works without cables!“
Bastian Willenbücher (Head of Business Unit Wires & Cables)
Numerous shielded versions according to UL/CSA available.

Coroflex® and Corotherm

The main features of the Coroflex® series include the absence of talcum as a release agent and lubricant, the long stripping length of up to 1.5 m (compared to 0.3 m for conventional yard ware) and the germ-repellent surface of our cables, which is based on a purely physical principle in contrast to the market, which frequently uses biocidal active ingredients and nanometals. PVC cables as well as numerous shielded variants of the Coroflex® product range are new to the range - with excellent EMC properties.

In order to meet the special requirements of heat, we have developed special high-temperature cables, which we now offer under the name "Corotherm". These cables are ideal for applications in hot environments, such as heaters, (baking) ovens, instantaneous water heaters, washing machines, dishwashers, etc.
