“GROSSER PREIS DES MITTELSTANDES” (AWARD FOR SMES) 2017 Coroplast reaches jury list for small and medium-sized enterprises award

The name Coroplast is on the jury list for the “Großer Preis des Mittelstandes” 2017, a national business award for SMEs in Germany. Coroplast is now close to reaching the final stages of the competition and therefore has the chance to either become a finalist or even win an award in this prestigious competition in September.

“The nomination and particularly our inclusion on the jury list of this competition is a great signal for us,” says Natalie Mekelburger, Chairwoman of the Board of Management at Coroplast. “We are proud that our achievements and our commitment are receiving recognition, not only in terms of market success, but also by the independent jury adjudicating the competition.”

Around every thousandth company in Germany reaches the nomination list for the “Großer Preis des Mittelstandes”. Of the approximately 5,000 companies nominated nationwide this year, only around every sixth one has managed to get on the jury list. By the end of June, the 13 regional juries will have made their decisions regarding the award winners and finalists in the respective regions. The winners will be announced and presented with their awards at regional gala events to be held in September.

At the “Großer Preis des Mittelstandes”, the most coveted business award in Germany according to the “WELT” newspaper, a broad range of criteria impact the selection process. Apart from the company's development as a whole, measures to create and secure jobs for both skilled employees and apprentices, modernisation and innovation are considered just as important as regional commitment and activities in the fields of service, customer proximity and marketing.
