CoroArt prize for art

Over 40 budding young artists from the University of Wuppertal submitted their works of art with the aim of winning the CoroArt prize for art, which this year focuses on the theme “connections”.

This year, the CoroArt prize for art was held for the fourth time and the various works submitted featured a high level of both creativity and quality. The sophisticated and innovative designs made it anything but simple for the jury to reach a decision, but in the end they were unanimous. With her video installation, Anna Matzek got closest to the heart of the topic and was rewarded for her efforts with the winner’s cheque of 1,000 euros. The CoroArt prize for art awards a total of 3,000 euros in prizes each year. The two second-placed designs were awarded 600 euros each and the two third-placed designs 400 euros each.

“We have now awarded the CoroArt prize for art for the fourth time and the quality of the works submitted has continually improved. It is not only an aesthetic pleasure, but also an inspiration to see our products in a completely different connection,” remarked Natalie Mekelburger, Chairwoman of the Board of Management, in her laudation.
