"We're proud to be present among many large- and DAX-trading companies with a ranking for the fourth time, considering that we are a medium-sized family-owned company", says Constanze Krieger, head of marketing and communications at Coroplast. This award illustrates that here at Coroplast development opportunities for employees, job security, corporate culture, market position, compensation as well as work life balance are outstanding. These are the criteria the Corporate Research Foundation (CRF) considers in their annual survey, when determining how attractive an employer companies are.
With the "Top Employer 2011", Coroplast hopes to raise awareness for the company among young academics and engineers. The company now also offers trainee programs in the areas finance and controlling, and sales and marketing. For those wishing to enter their professional life right after achieving the "Abitur", Coroplast offers dual education programs combining on the job training with secondary school studies, eventually leading to a bachelor's degree. Depending on aptitude and company needs, the concentration will be placed on commercial and/or technical studies. "Our goal is, to retain employees for as long as possible", says head of human resources Frank Bollweg.
"Management and lead employees consistently drive an intensive dialogue about job perspectives of our employees, and what interests they have in personal development", says Constanze Krieger. It's important, in order to identify potentials and support employees individually. Further, a large number of part-time positions make the company quite attractive for women with children. Aside from that, when it comes to working hours, Coroplast affords its employees a trust relationship. They even got rid of the time tracking system. This much trust placed into employees, is an additional motivation. Just as the large degree of responsibility afforded to employees, a factor the Corporate Research Foundation named as particularly driving factor at Coroplast in the 2011 study.
"Our co-workers are our most important asset", Krieger explains further. "It is them, Coroplast has to be grateful to for making it possible to offer our customers premium products and a wide range of services. This is why we continuously motivate them, to bring in their own ideas for improvements, in order to create safer or more efficient workplaces." Foreman Stefan Roggenthien has seen how that works first hand shortly after starting at Coroplast: "I practice what Corplast exemplifies. We want an environment that empowers employees to solve problems on their own. Those who work rather independently, have more fun doing it."

This is what makes us one of the leading providers in this industry." According to their statistics, people hardly ever quit. The management attributes this fact to the corporate culture and work atmosphere: "Where improvement of production processes is concerned, every opinion counts. Willingness to help and camaraderie are a matter of course with us", emphasises Krieger.
